Lightfield Review 2026

Viro: Lightfield review 2026

Short answer

Lightfield is an AI-native CRM that builds your records from email, calendar and calls, then suggests updates for you to approve. It's one of the better tools for cutting CRM data entry, but its pricing has changed repeatedly in 2026 and it does less on its own than the "fills itself in" promise suggests. This review explains what Lightfield automates, what still waits on you, what it costs today and who it suits.

Disclosure: Viro wrote this review, and Viro competes with Lightfield. We've based it on Lightfield's own help docs and pricing page, plus public write-ups, all listed at the end. Where Lightfield does something well, we say so.

Last updated: November 7, 2026. Pricing checked against Lightfield's published plans on the same day.

What is Lightfield?

Lightfield is a CRM that builds itself from your conversations. You connect your inbox and calendar, and it creates accounts, contacts and meeting summaries without anyone typing them in. It keeps the raw emails and transcripts too, so you can ask it questions in plain English.

It was built by the team behind Tome, the presentation app, who left Tome to build Lightfield. It's aimed at startups and small teams replacing HubSpot or Salesforce, and its pricing page says more than 5,000 companies trust it.

How Lightfield actually works

Most reviews stop at "it updates itself". Lightfield's own help docs are more precise, and the details matter if you're choosing a CRM. Some things happen automatically, some wait for you to approve them, and some you still do yourself.

What happensHow Lightfield handles it
Accounts and contactsAutomatic. Created from the external domains in your connected email and meetings, depending on your capture setting. Personal domains are excluded by default
MeetingsAutomatic. Logged with an AI summary from Lightfield's recorder
Public company data (industry, headcount, funding)Automatic. Added by enrichment, no approval needed
Updates from your conversationsSuggested. Lightfield's docs say all updates are surfaced as suggestions first, and you apply or dismiss them. Its pricing page also lists automatic record updates, and its setup guide recommends starting new fields on suggest rather than auto, so check what your plan does
Custom fieldsYou can add a field later and Lightfield can fill it from past conversations
New deals (opportunities)Manual by default. Created by you, through chat, or by a workflow you set up. Lightfield can also suggest new deals
Follow-up emails and next actionsOn request. You ask the agent to draft them, or build an automation that does

A few setup details change how it behaves:

  • History: it syncs 30 days of email by default. You can extend that to 24 months.
  • What gets logged: you choose when records are created. The default is when you reach out, and you can narrow that to threads where someone responds, or widen it to everything.
  • Privacy: you can set visibility to metadata only, so teammates see who and when, not the content.
  • Noise: because accounts come from external email domains, vendors and recruiters can end up as accounts. Keep an eye on this in your first week.

The agent is the most impressive part. In a live demo at SaaStr, Lightfield's CEO worked through a stalled deal. Lightfield found the team had never met the customer's CIO, found the CIO online, added them to the deal and drafted an email looping them in. It then turned that lesson into an automation for future deals. The catch is that you have to ask. Most of the agent's work starts with a question from you.

Features and integrations

Lightfield's core features are automatic capture, meeting recording, enrichment, a plain-English agent and workflow automation.

  • Meeting recorder with transcripts and summaries
  • Enrichment of companies from public data
  • Agent that answers questions about deals and drafts emails when asked

How much does Lightfield cost?

Lightfield starts at $89 per user per month for up to three users, then jumps to $999 a month billed annually. Several reviews still quote older prices, because Lightfield has changed its pricing more than once in 2026. One review checked in October listed Growth at $1,999 a month. It's $2,999 today.

Current plans, as of November 7, 2026:

PlanPriceNotes
Starter$89 per user per monthUp to 3 seats, billed monthly, up to 50,000 records
Pro$999 per month, billed annuallyPer workspace. 5 capture seats, unlimited viewers, up to 250,000 records
Growth$2,999 per month, billed annuallyPer workspace. 10 capture seats, up to 750,000 records
EnterpriseCustomContact sales
Extra capture seat$200 per month, billed annuallyAdd-on

There's no free plan. Starter has a 14-day trial.

What this means for a growing team: a three-person team pays $267 a month. The fourth person moves you to Pro at $999 a month on an annual contract, roughly $12,000 a year. Check Lightfield's pricing page before buying, since it may change again.

Lightfield pros and cons

Pros

  • Much less data entry. Accounts, contacts and meetings appear without anyone typing them.
  • It keeps the raw conversations. New custom fields can be filled from past emails and calls, which a traditional CRM can't do.
  • A genuinely useful agent. Plain-English questions get answers, and it can research and draft when asked.
  • You stay in control. Suggested changes wait for approval instead of overwriting your records.
  • Automations without a complex builder. You can set up workflows for the jobs you want handled.

Cons

  • A big price jump. $89 a seat for up to three people, then $999 a month on an annual contract.
  • Pricing keeps changing. That makes budgeting hard.
  • Review queue fatigue. Every suggestion needs a decision. On a busy week, that becomes its own admin.
  • Deals aren't created automatically unless you build a workflow for it.
  • Noisy accounts from vendors and recruiters.
  • The agent waits to be asked. Follow-ups, check-ins months later and reviving old deals don't happen unless you prompt or automate them.
  • Fewer integrations than HubSpot or Salesforce, and no dialer yet.
  • AI output still needs checking, as with any tool that extracts details from conversations.

Who Lightfield is for, and who should skip it

Lightfield fits if you:

  • Sell mostly through email and video meetings
  • Have three or fewer people using the CRM, or the budget for $12,000 a year
  • Want a clean record of every conversation and like asking an AI about your deals
  • Are happy to review suggested updates and build a few automations

Look elsewhere if you:

  • Sell a lot by phone through a dialer
  • Want follow-ups, proposals and check-ins done for you without asking
  • Are a team of 4 to 10 on a tight budget
  • Need a large integration marketplace
  • Want a free plan or monthly billing beyond three seats

What reviewers say

Lightfield has few independent public reviews so far. The write-ups that exist agree it removes much of the manual entry for teams whose deals run through email and meetings. The most common concerns are price and a young integration list.

Lightfield alternatives

The right alternative depends on what you want the CRM to do. Some keep a better record, some are cheaper, and some do more of the work after the call. For more detail, see our full guide to the best Lightfield alternatives.
